Catching up

It has been forever since I checked out my blog and oh my did a lot change.
I am not only mama to Lora, but also to Jesse my beautiful boy, who is almost 18 months old now.

I am still crafty as ever. I have created many blankets (will post pictures) and even baby carriers.
Currently I am even dying my first Osnaburg baby wrap, so wish me luck!

My husband got me a sewing machine late 2012 and I am having fun with it ever since. The first thing I wanted to do was making quilts. Thing is: I am new to this and patience is not my last name.
Instead I have been making quilted comforters for my kids.

I started off with this Hello Kitty blanket. As backing I used a green fleece blanket I had on hand. Nothing too fancy, but not bad for a first project.

Then my next one was a bit better. I actually went to Hobby Lobby to get some fabric and this is what I came up with. The comforter has quilt batting in it. The outside isn't finished yet in this pic, but I used a brown binding for it. It looks really nice.

My last blanket I made is a black/ green theme. I found this cute fabric with whales on it and I just had to make something for my son. I browsed Pinterest for hours to get some ideas and this is what I have come up with.

I will post some of the projects I have done over the last 2 years as well. Some are cooking. Some are just stuff I find on Pinterest. Keeping busy is what I do.

I hope you enjoyed reading and don't forget to follow me!
